Renee

Renee is a Jacksonville resident who loves working out, singing, making friends, drawing, and dancing. She has been burdened with mental illness and an intellectual disability for her entire life. After struggling with an unsupportive home life and eventually falling into living on the streets and substance abuse, Renee received help through Sulzbacher, and by extension samaritan. While Sulzbacher helped Renee navigate her steps forward, such as attending rehabiliation classes, 23 samaritan supporters stood with her and aided with providing financial and verbal assistance throughout the process. Renee is now months into a rehabiliation program, and hopes to see her son after many years.
